The counter which
will count down the days till the start of the journey has started today. We
set off at 20th November 2008.

KROSS a European
bike tycoon joined our journey. We will travel the paths of the Andes on Level A6 – terrain dedicated bikes. In the

06.02.2008 – We’ll have to wait!
… Some months of delay, actually o change of the date of departure – why? One
may think a few months is a lot, but not for us, as we have been preparing for
this journey (logistically, physically and as far as our equipment is
concerned) for 15 months. The organization of the very undertaking is a little
bit beyond capabilities of ours (GPS maps, solar cells, water filters, the new
construction of Extrawheel trailer, new bikes, tents…). Not to mention other
problems – some of the cooperating firms failed to keep their promises, lack of
money, lots of work to do and lack of time. But as one is used to say śevery
cloud has a silver lining”. The climate conditions in the area of our
expedition will be much better at September-November. Low level of rainfall,
long days, appropriate temperature caused a change in the date of departure.
